In order to make our vision a reality, we require a sizeable amount of funding. Applications to various grants and funding bodies have been underway since September 2023, and a list of all successful applications are listed below.
We would like to thank all of our funders - without them this wouldn't be possible.
----
Unfortunately, we haven't been successful in all of our applications, for various reasons which we have been learning from - and sometimes it has simply been there is such a high level of other brilliant community projects across Scotland. As such we are on the look out for further funding opportunities, please do get in touch if you are aware of any or would like to be involved in our fundraising team.
Our first application was to the Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) for £7500 in Oct '23 under their Project Viability Grant. This has gone towards initial planning and design fees. We look forward to working with them in the future and learning from some of the other amazing heritage projects they've supported.
The Forth Valley & Lomond Local Action Group (LAG) awarded the project £10,000 in Oct '23 to spend on architectural fees under their Community Led Local Development (CLLD) programme. They've already supported five other projects in Dunblane - check-out their website for more info.
The Fife Environment Trust (FET) awarded the project £50,000 in Nov '23 towards general refurbishment costs. The FET is a body which distributes Scottish Landfill Communities Fund (SLCF) money, which has been generated from landfill operator taxes.
The UK Government's Community Ownership Fund, funded by the Department for Levelling-Up, awarded the project £411,250 in Dec '23. This grant will cover the purchase price of the building in order to transfer into community ownership, plus a significant contribution towards development costs.
